Big Stick, Little Stick

If you are following people for your faith, you are doing it wrong.

People are talking about this church, that church; this controversy, that controversy. They say don’t listen to this praise music, because that church’s pastor cheated, or don’t watch that service, because they aren’t sin-focused enough—or whatever. THE FACTS are YOUR relationship with God is what matters, not someone else’s.

In the cancel culture of today, it may be easy to find yourself swayed by someone else’s hyper-religiosity, but guard your hearts people! Are you praising GOD and magnifying Him to that worship music? Then listen to it! Are you convicted by the Holy Spirit, and not someone else’s self-proclaimed religious prowess, about listening to it? Then don’t listen to it! IT IS not about other people—it is about YOU AND GOD. It’s not about who COLLECTS MORE MONEY. It’s not about PROSPERITY or POVERTY. It’s not about who ARGUES THEOLOGY BEST.

It is not about who, who, who and GOD—it is about you, you, you and GOD. Ask God, love others, and, to quote a dear friend of ours, (Max) “STAY IN YOUR LANE.” To quote God’s Word, “How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?” (Matthew 7:4)

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Roman” 3:23)

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)
